MuscleTech Platinum 100% Glutamine is an ultra-pure, HPLC-tested micronized L-glutamine powder designed to accelerate muscle recovery, replenish glycogen stores, and support immune resilience for athletes in Singapore. Providing an unflavored 5g dose of free-form L-glutamine per scoop with zero fillers, it retails locally at Ultimate Sup Singapore for S$49.50 for a 300g (60-serving) tub with authentic next-day doorstep delivery.
Intense resistance training and endurance conditioning deplete intramuscular glutamine levels by up to 50%. In Singapore's hot, high-humidity climate, strenuous workouts at commercial gyms in Tanjong Pagar or outdoor sprint sessions at Jurong Lake Gardens place severe metabolic stress on muscle tissue and digestive integrity. Adding a clean, pharmaceutical-grade glutamine supplement helps athletes bounce back faster between training sessions.
What Is MuscleTech Platinum 100% Glutamine? Quick Singapore Verdict
MuscleTech Platinum 100% Glutamine belongs to MuscleTech's Essential Series, a product lineup focused on single-ingredient sports nutrition staples without proprietary blends. Each serving delivers 5,000mg of pure, micronized L-glutamine manufactured under strict cGMP standards.
Here is our direct verdict for Singapore fitness enthusiasts:
- Purity & Testing: The powder is tested via High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to guarantee zero banned substances, fillers, or undeclared sugars.
- Mixability: Because it is finely micronized, it dissolves instantly in cold water, BCAA shakes, or post-workout whey without leaving gritty residue at the bottom of your shaker cup.
- Value in Singapore: At S$49.50 for 60 servings, each scoop costs approximately S$0.82, making it a budget-conscious staple for serious lifters.
- Best Alternative Options: Lifters seeking fermented plant-based glutamine can explore Kaged Muscle Glutamine (S$42.14 for 500g), while those wanting compact tub sizes can check Applied Nutrition Glutamine Powder (S$38.10 for 250g).

MuscleTech Platinum 100% Glutamine Formula Breakdown & Key Benefits
L-glutamine is the most abundant conditionally essential amino acid found in human plasma and skeletal muscle tissue. While the body synthesizes baseline amounts from other amino acids, heavy lifting and prolonged cardio rapidly outpace natural production rates.
1. Accelerated Muscle Glycogen & Tissue Repair
During high-volume resistance workouts, muscle cells experience micro-tears and catabolic breakdown. Supplementing with 5g of free-form L-glutamine post-workout helps drive nitrogen retention directly into muscle cells, blunting post-exercise soreness (DOMS) and promoting rapid cellular rehydration.
2. Gut Health & Intestinal Barrier Defense
Approximately 30% of ingested glutamine is consumed directly by enterocytes (cells lining the gastrointestinal tract). Athletes training in Singapore often encounter gastrointestinal stress during long sessions due to blood shunting away from the stomach toward working muscles. L-glutamine serves as primary fuel for gut mucosal cells, strengthening tight junctions and helping maintain digestive comfort.
3. Immune System Support Under Heavy Training Loads
White blood cells and lymphocytes rely heavily on plasma glutamine to multiply and mount effective immune responses. Heavy training phases frequently induce temporary immune suppression. Consuming MuscleTech Platinum 100% Glutamine ensures immune cells maintain access to their primary fuel substrate, reducing downtime from fatigue.
MuscleTech Glutamine vs. Kaged Muscle vs. Applied Nutrition (Comparison Table)
Choosing the best glutamine supplement in Singapore depends on your preferred sourcing, total serving count, and budget. Here is how the top three pure glutamine powders available at Ultimate Sup compare side by side:
| Supplement | Glutamine per Serving | Servings / Tub | Form & Source | Price (SGD) | Cost per Serving |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MuscleTech Platinum 100% Glutamine | 5,000mg | 60 Servings (300g) | HPLC-Tested Micronized Powder | S$49.50 | ~S$0.82 |
| Kaged Muscle Glutamine | 5,000mg | 100 Servings (500g) | Fermented Plant-Based, MicroPure | S$42.14 | ~S$0.42 |
| Applied Nutrition Glutamine Powder | 5,000mg | 50 Servings (250g) | Pure Micronized, Informed-Sport Tested | S$38.10 | ~S$0.76 |
In Singapore, authentic single-ingredient glutamine tubs typically range from S$38.00 to S$50.00.
If you follow a strict vegan or vegetarian diet, Kaged Muscle Glutamine is produced via plant fermentation rather than synthetic animal-byproduct extraction. For athletes subject to workplace or competitive anti-doping testing, Applied Nutrition Glutamine Powder holds Informed-Sport batch certification.
How to Take MuscleTech Glutamine for Optimal Muscle Recovery
To maximize the benefits of MuscleTech Platinum 100% Glutamine, follow these practical dosing and timing recommendations tailored for Singapore athletes:
- Standard Daily Dosage: Mix 1 level scoop (5g) with 240ml of cold water, coconut water, or your post-workout protein shake.
- Post-Workout Window: Consume 1 scoop within 30 to 45 minutes after intense weightlifting or endurance sessions alongside fast-digesting carbohydrates or whey protein to enhance cellular amino acid uptake.
- Rest Days or Before Bed: On non-training days, consume 1 scoop in the morning on an empty stomach or immediately before sleeping to support sustained tissue repair overnight.
- Stacking Suggestions: MuscleTech Glutamine pairs smoothly with unflavored creatine monohydrate and branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs). Because it is completely unflavored and unsweetened, it will not alter the taste profile of your favorite sports drinks.
Singapore's year-round humidity can cause hygroscopic amino acid powders to clump if exposed to warm, moist air. Always seal the lid tightly after each scoop and store your tub in a cool, shaded pantry rather than inside a damp gym locker or near an open kitchen window.
Where to Buy Authentic MuscleTech Glutamine in Singapore with Fast Delivery
Because MuscleTech is one of the world's most widely recognized sports supplement brands, counterfeit imports occasionally surface through unauthorized third-party marketplaces. Fake supplements often contain cheap maltodextrin fillers or fail heavy-metal safety inspections.

- 100% Genuine Inventory: All products are imported directly from authorized international brand distributors with intact tamper-evident safety seals.
