I don’t have a specific stat to hand but what I can tell you from experience is that more diets fail than they succeed. There are many, many reasons why this happens including:
- Lack of motivation from the start
- Following the wrong diet which makes it unbearable to follow
- Slow progress which leads to a loss of focus and motivation
- No accountability which means people stop and start depending on their mood
- Not having a real goal and deadline to aim for
The list goes on, but you get the picture.
What frustrates me is that anybody can achieve genuinely amazing results in a relatively short space of time, if they have the right plan. Many people don’t have the experience to create the right plan which means they can invest weeks, months and years following the wrong advice consistently and still get BAD results. This is easily fixed by hiring expert help, which is where I am able to help you. Poor knowledge can always be fixed IF the mindset of the individual is right.
The more complex bit which usually leads to failure on a diet is the fourth point I made above… No accountability!
Even if you do have good knowledge and can create the right plan, without accountability you can keep moving the goal posts to move the deadline further away. Every time you feel like giving up or cheating, you can because nobody is there to hold you accountable.
Having weekly check-ins and a coach who is on your ass to ensure you're being consistent makes the world of difference. It changes the whole dynamic which ultimately helps you stop failing and seeing the results you want.
If you're sat there reading this and thinking “This is exactly what I am like, always starting a plan but never finishing it” then it is time to take action
Time passes by very quickly! You can either choose to have the physique you want or constantly make bulls*** excuses and keep avoiding accountability.
Take a good hard look in the mirror and ask yourself if you should sort your s*** out today or not!
